Organizational Tips for Work-at-Home Moms

Many work-at-home moms are motivated to get their home and their life organized. They want to have the least amount of stress in their daily lives. They also want to be productive with work and efficient with their family responsiblities.

Work-at-home moms want to avoid an overwhelming schedule. It is essential for moms working from home to establish specific business hours. This may help moms to focus better on their work and reduce distractions. It will also be easier to schedule family chores. You will need to explain your working schedule to family and friends.

This may be an opportune time to delegate appropriate tasks to a few family members. Maybe your spouse could help with the cooking occasionally throughout the work week. It is very important to maintain a balanced routine, so you can get adequate rest to stay healthy and function to your fullest potential.

A daily planner, either paper or digital is essential for effective management of your work and time. It may take some time to organize your good habits and routines, but it will be worth it. Write down your short-term and long-term goals in your planner, along with your project plans.

Remember it takes adequate time to get organized. Take baby steps. Most people cannot get their home organized in one day or even a weekend. It may be beneficial to begin with small projects. Finish one project before starting another one. Make sure everything has a correct place or "home" in your house. You may decide to sell some items that you no longer need or want anymore. It may be a nice gesture to use a donation service for some items that could be helpful to others.

You may wish to start in a small area, such as your office desk. Organize frequently used items in your desk drawers and on top of your desk. You can move onto another area of your house after you accomplish your task successfully. This will increase your motivation.

It is a good habit to put misplaced items back where they belong on a daily basis. It is helpful to organize the specific storage spaces within your home. Baskets, shelves, bins and cabinets can be used to organize items throughout your home. Create an organizing system that works nicely with your daily lifestyle.

Clutter

Organizing is a learned skill. It takes motivation and time to get organized. Organization is not a once and done event. It is an ongoing process to keep your home, office and life in order.

Clutter may be caused by delayed decisions. People need to make time to decide where their items belong in their home. Clutter consists of items that you do not use or need anymore.

Clutter may cost you additional space, time and energy. You may be using too much time and energy trying to take care of all your material things in your life. Sometimes, less is actually more in this case. If you have minimal material items, you will have less to take care of daily. You may find that after you declutter your house, you may have more time to spend on things you truly enjoy in life. You may be able to spend less time doing chores because your home will be easier to maintain.

There may be more time available for you to pursue your favorite hobbies. You can spend more time with family and friends. Maybe, you have been searching for additional time to take some academic classes, exercise, or even write a book. It takes amble amount of time to live a healthy lifestyle. Healthy meal preparation, grocery shopping and cooking in general takes up a certain part of the day.

People may have more confidence to invite friends over to their home when it is organized. You can focus on relationships, instead of your clutter. It is easy to see the positive advantages of keeping a clutter-free home.

Meal Planning

CrockPot Girls Recipe Collection

It is common for many busy moms to look for time-saving tips for cooking everyday healthy meals for their families. Often times, I enjoy using the crockpot method of cooking because the meal preparation is usually easy, and I can use common recipe ingredients that I have available in my pantry.

The food turns out tender and delicious. It is extremely easy to create a weekly or monthly meal plan when incorporating some crockpot dishes into your menu.

Some of my favorites are homemade chicken soup, chili, barbecued chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken cacciatore, beef pot roast and beef stew.

It is amazing how many nice varieties of slow cookers are now available on the market. I appreciate the digitalized versions because they seem very accurate with their cooking times and ease of use.

My very favorite cookbook is the "Crockpot Girls Collection" with beautiful photos and over 500 delicious crockpot recipes! The cookbook includes meat dishes, soups, side dishes, vegetarian selections, stews, desserts and much more. The collection includes over 300 recipes for main dishes!

The "Crockpot Girls Collection" has over 500 pages of wonderful recipes with impressive photos that I really enjoy. Many of the recipes are very healthy and you may even find a nice selection of your favorite comfort foods!
